Similarities
Confucius said: "Wheresoever you go, go with all you heart." In the movie we can see this by examining the actions of Mulan. Mulan travels far away from home, impersonates as a soldier, and saves China for the honor and life of her father. Her bravery was able to neglect her fears and thus, was able to follow what she believed what was right.
Differences
Confucius said: "In serving his parents, a son may gently remonstrate with them. When he sees that they are not inclined to listen to him, he should resume an attitude of reverence and not abandon his effort to serve them. He may feel worried, but does not complain." This is entirely different in Mulan's case as a son does not rever the father. When the father is forced to do the duty, the daughter instead takes his place and does everything that a son should have done.
